Overview

Joby Aviation is seeking a full-time Occupational Health Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position will serve a key role within our state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing areas by providing case management, health and risk reduction, workplace hazard detection, reporting on occupational health and safety incidents, and providing first aid to our teammates. This role will be working from 3-11pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 10-6pm.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health and safety programs
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal processes and procedures
  • Document all employee injuries and illnesses within the workplace
  • Provide follow-up on Workers’ Compensation cases, ensuring employee treatment is documented and appropriate paperwork is completed
  • Treat injuries and illnesses for employees, including follow-ups and referrals
  • Counsel employees on physical and mental health issues and guide them toward community resources and/or employee assistance programs
  • Support and reinforce a company-wide safety culture
  • Participate in safety-related meetings with personnel
  • Assist with planning and coordination of health-related programs, screenings, and initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of occupational health practices and procedures

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Adult CPR, AED & First Aid Certification
  • Ability to be flexible, work under pressure, multitask, and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player

Desired

  • Occupational health, emergency, or clinic nursing experience
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience with emergency response and crisis management

Additional Information

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $70,000 - $115,000/year The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
