Overview
As a Senior Benefits Analyst at Joby, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our employee benefits program to ensure that it is comprehensive, compliant, and aligned with our organizational goals. You will work closely with the Total Rewards team, Payroll, and benefits brokers to administer the daily operations of the benefits program, support open enrollment processes, and conduct analysis to provide insights for program improvements.
This position is based out of one of Joby’s San Francisco Bay Area offices: San Carlos, Santa Cruz, and Marina. Onsite presence 3 days per week is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end benefits administration, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA)
- Manage annual open enrollment process, including coordination, communications, and documentation
- Oversee benefits program financials, including invoice approval, purchase orders, and cost analysis reporting
- Serve as primary benefits subject matter expert, handling participant inquiries and resolving complex claims issues
- Build and maintain vendor relationships, supporting RFPs and ensuring service delivery excellence
- Partner with HRIS/People Systems on technical integrations to optimize benefits data management
- Develop long-term benefits strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends
Required
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in benefits administration
- Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Intermediate Excel skills (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations

Additional Information
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $102,991-$137,322/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
