Position
At Liftoff, the Supply Platform team plays a crucial role in the company's success. Our team is dedicated to designing and constructing the platform infrastructure that processes over a billion events daily and is expanding rapidly. We're a group of innovative engineers who leverage the latest technology to develop efficient and scalable systems. Location
We are a remote-first company, and our technical teams generally gather in-person in the SF Bay Area at least 1 week per quarter.
Our preference is for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area, otherwise anywhere in Pacific timezone where we have an entity: California, Oregon, Washington (and potentially West Coast of Canada).
Responsibilities
- Build new ML infrastructure and support our experimental workflows.
- Prototype and evaluate new ML algorithms and modeling techniques.
- Evaluate new data sets.
- Run machine learning tests and experiments. Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results.
- Collaborate with other eng teams to ensure data pipelines are robust and our bidder tech can properly leverage new ML models.
- Collaborate with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds.
- Be part of an “engineering excellence” culture through state-of-the-art tools, risk-driven testing, explainable systems, and code review.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on machine learning projects
- Solid knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
- Functional understanding of ML frameworks
- Proficient with ML libraries and packages.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Go, R, C++ or Java
- Knowledge of distributed systems and data processing frameworks
- Strong analytical skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about helping others and investing in the team’s success.
Nice to have Experience
- Ad tech experience.
- Strong mathematical background (statistics in particular).
- Data engineering or big data analytics experience.
Liftoff's compensation strategy includes competitive market rate along with equity and benefits and perks that will give our employees what they need to do their best work. In order to ensure teams are compensated fairly for the work performed, we map out specific levels and take into consideration the cost of labor within each location.
The base pay range for this position in the US depends on the location and falls in the following zones:
SF Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, Orange County: $160,000 - 190,000
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, Boston, San Diego, Santa Barbara: $150,000 - 175,000
All other cities in our approved to hire states: $140,000 - 164,000
