Opportunity Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join Upland India as a Project Manager and work with our local and global teams to track and report on various initiatives. Specifically, this role will focus on our transformation projects and will be expected to manage all aspects of the same and will be trained by our transformation team on the specifics.
To perform well in this role, you should have an overall industry experience of 4 – 6 years with a minimum of 3 years working in enterprise agile programs / initiatives and managing multiple projects across the organization. This global role will require overlapping hours with different time zones as required.
What would you do?
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Work across Transformation Team, BU Leadership, Tech Leadership, India CoE and any other functional groups as necessary
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner. This will include (but not limited to) on-boarding, needs discovery, job description definition, coordination with the vendors / agencies for hiring and ensuring completion
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs to ensure within budget. This would include resource, equipment, and vendor costs
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Highlight risks, issues and proactively work with stakeholders to resolve them
Technical Skills
The following skills are needed for this role.
Experience:
- 4-6 years
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Primary Skills: The candidate must possess the following primary skills:
- Experience managing large global programs
- Experience setting up, driving, and monitoring key metrics for programs
- Excellent global stakeholder management skills with ability to build relationships and collaborate across a variety of stakeholders
- Strong Knowledge on Scrum
- Experience in Jira/Confluence
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven ability to complete projects according to scope, budget, and timeline
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
- Good negotiation skills
Secondary Skills: It would be advantageous if the candidate also has the following secondary skills:
- CSM certification preferred.

- Able to have a change of mind, and able to change the minds of others.
- Writes clearly and concisely.
- Capable of working without a company office, with a fully remote team.

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
