Job Description
We’re seeking a dynamic and resourceful Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in post-production, with the ability to transform customer content and assets into compelling video stories—using a mix of brand footage, UGC, motion graphics, and a wide range of editing techniques.
You’ll collaborate closely with our creative partners to bring customer visions to life, editing content primarily for television and digital distribution. Success in this role requires strong creative instincts, excellent technical ability, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit customer content and assets with a sharp creative eye and adherence to industry best practices
- Manage all aspects of the post-production process—from ingesting raw footage to delivering final edits across multiple platforms
- Create motion graphics and simple custom animations (titles, lower thirds, end cards) while clearly communicating design needs to creative teams
- Coordinate video workflows across formats, locations, and delivery stages in partnership with Customer Success and other teams
- Work proactively, moving projects toward near-final versions to streamline feedback rounds
- Incorporate feedback effectively from both written and verbal input
- Deliver projects on time with uncompromising attention to quality
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and creative briefs
- Leverage the existing library of footage and suggest fresh ways to repurpose content
- Optimize videos for large screen platforms, tailoring edits to meet specific requirements and best practices
- Stay on top of industry trends, techniques, and emerging creative opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography, or related field (preferred, not required)
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience across web, retail, and social platforms
- Strong background in creating assets for paid media, ideally television but at least Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)
- Solid understanding of color grading, pacing, and timing
- Experience balancing multiple projects and delivering under tight deadlines
- Ability to deliver same-day edits when needed
- Familiarity with ad formats, conversion tactics, and creative advertising best practices
- Steady under pressure—able to be the calm, solutions-oriented presence in the room
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
