Basil Therapy- A Fresh Take on Neurodiversity & Autism

About Us:

We’re a fast-growing, fun, and forward-thinking company on a mission to redefine how adults experience autism diagnosis and neurodiversity support. Our work is rooted in respect, clinical excellence, and a genuine appreciation for the unique minds we serve. We believe assessments should be thorough, validating, and empowering—not cold or clinical.

Join a team that’s shaking up the mental health space with a modern approach, innovative tools, and a team culture that prioritizes flexibility, autonomy, and good vibes.

The Role:

We’re seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience in adult autism assessments to join our team on a contract basis. You’ll conduct comprehensive autism evaluations for adults (18+) entirely via telehealth. You'll bring both your clinical expertise and human-centered approach to ensure each client walks away feeling seen, understood, and supported.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct virtual diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorder in adults using gold-standard tools (ADOS-2, ADI-R, MIGDAS-2, SRS-2 and SCQ etc.)
  • Gather developmental histories, clinical interviews, self-reports, and collateral input via telehealth
  • Score and interpret psychological assessment tools relevant to autism diagnosis
  • Write clear, strengths-based diagnostic reports that reflect the client’s experience
  • Deliver thoughtful feedback sessions with care, clarity, and compassion
  • Collaborate with our internal support team to ensure smooth scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups

What We’re Looking For:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited program
  • Licensed psychologist (must be licensed in at least one U.S. state)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience conducting adult autism assessments
  • Proficiency in telehealth platforms and digital documentation
  • Comfortable working independently as a 1099 contractor
  • Passion for neurodiversity, inclusion, and progressive mental healthcare
  • Warm, engaging interpersonal style with a sense of humor welcome

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with gender-diverse and neuro-diverse populations
  • Multi-state licensure (PSYPACT is a huge plus!)
  • Knowledge of co-occurring conditions (ADHD, anxiety, etc.)

What You’ll Get:

  • Competitive per-assessment compensation
  • Fully remote and flexible scheduling
  • Supportive team culture that celebrates authenticity and balance
  • No insurance billing or admin chaos—we’ve got that covered
  • The chance to be part of a movement changing how neurodivergent adults access care

Send your resume and a short note telling us why you’d be excited to support adult autism assessments to mareiko@theradriver.com. Bonus points if you share your favorite grounding technique or a personal passion for neurodiversity-affirming care.
