About The Role

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. In this role, you’ll lead a talented engineering team focused on effortless knowledge capture and distribution. To be successful in this role, you’ll need a track record of leading engineering teams, collaborating effectively with product and design stakeholders, and building delightful customer experiences. Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of 10+ talented engineers to build high-quality and high-impact features
  • Scale the engineering team from 10 to over 50 members, ensuring seamless integration and maintaining high performance standards throughout the expansion process.
  • Architect a robust tech stack and design efficient team structures and processes, leading to enhanced productivity and streamlined operations within the engineering team.
  • Oversee the delivery and success of your team’s projects and initiatives, collaborating closely with your cross-functional stakeholders (such as product, design, and marketing).
  • Work with the leadership team, including co-founders, to define the technical vision, roadmap, and goals for your team and the engineering department.
  • Build an outstanding team by coaching engineers, promoting best practices, and creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Provide frequent, relevant feedback and career guidance to help engineers excel in their roles.

What We're Seeking

Minimum qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of professional experience in relevant software engineering roles.
  • You have 3+ years of managing and leading engineering teams, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience scaling a team at a high-growth startup.
  • You are an excellent communicator who provides hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to your teammates.
  • You have a track record of successfully managing and growing both junior and senior engineers across multiple time zones.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to set, communicate, and achieve ambitious goals and project milestones.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, React, TypeScript.
  • Experience with frontend technologies and a strong understanding of UI/UX principles.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architecture.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
