Sales Development Representative

About us: NextStage is a fast-growing business development, project management, and market research SaaS platform for the $700B/year government contracting industry. We serve customers across all critical sectors of the economy, including Space, Health Care, Cyber Security, National Defense, Energy, and Science, Infrastructure, and more. NextStage helps customers identify new contract opportunities by aggregating data from a variety of government databases. Our integrated pipeline management and CRM helps score, organize, and track key proposal, teaming, and bid decisions. As a Sales Development Representative, you will work directly with the sales team to generate sales opportunities utilizing existing tools to facilitate growth campaigns for outbound prospecting. This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact and be rewarded accordingly.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Work with the sales team and Head of Sales to identify target accounts
- Prospect accounts to generate qualified sales opportunities
- Use all tools at your disposal to get in touch with prospects - email, phone calls, LinkedIn, direct mail (get creative!) to meet and exceed revenue goals
- Iterate and refine our outbound sales process - experiment and learn from what works, what doesn’t, and how we can improve
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to continuously improve our platform based on prospect feedback
We’re looking for someone with
- 1-3 years of software sales/SDR experience
- Familiarity with the Government Contracting industry
- Demonstrated ability to generate sales in fast-paced, competitive situations
- Creative, motivated, and innovative DNA - you enjoy challenges and love finding out-of-the-box ways to win and improve
