We are seeking a strategic and experienced Government Relations professional to lead our engagement across North and South America, with a primary focus on the United States and secondary support for Canada, Mexico, and select Latin American markets. This role is pivotal in shaping and advancing legislative and regulatory outcomes that align with our business objectives and values across diverse policy environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes, a demonstrated ability to influence policy outcomes, and a proven track record of executing government relations strategies in the tech sector. Experience in Canada or Latin America is a plus but not required.
This role requires building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, regulators, and key stakeholders at the federal and state levels, as well as supporting engagement across the broader region. The candidate will work closely with internal partners across Legal, Trust & Safety, Product, and Communications, and collaborate with a global Government Relations and Policy team to ensure alignment and consistency across markets.

How you’ll make an impact:
You will develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies to advance our priorities across the United States, with support for broader Americas engagement as needed.
You will build, maintain, and deepen relationships with federal and state policymakers, regulators, and key staff to influence legislative and regulatory outcomes.
You will directly advocate on priority issues, representing the company in meetings, conferences, briefings, and other policy forums.
You will manage external lobbying firms, consultants, and advisors and the associated budgets to extend our reach and effectiveness.
You will monitor, analyze, and shape legislative and regulatory developments relevant to our business, translating them into clear strategic guidance for internal stakeholders.
You will partner closely with Global Government Relations leads, Legal, Trust & Safety, Product, Brand Teams, and Corporate Communications to ensure alignment between policy positions, business priorities, and external messaging.
You will help develop and refine clear, actionable policy positions and advocacy materials on complex issues.
You will support senior executive advocacy efforts and 3rd party memberships in Washington, DC.
You will represent the company in industry associations, coalitions, and public forums to strengthen our credibility and influence as a responsible industry leader.
You will support the development of policy materials, including position papers, testimony, and consultation responses, to advance our advocacy efforts.

You have a degree in law, public policy, political science, or a related field.
You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or public policy, with a focus on consumer technology or digital platforms.
You have a strong understanding of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes at both the federal and state levels.
You have experience working on issues such as online safety, privacy, competition, or emerging technologies.
You have an established network within Congress, federal agencies, state governments, and relevant industry groups.
You are an excellent communicator with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly and persuasively.
You speak conversational Spanish (not required, but a plus).
You are a naturally curious person and are interested in making the world a less lonely place.
You have a proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global environment, and to translate policy developments into business impact.
You are willing to travel at least 40% of the time.
