Role Purpose
The Director, Ad Sales (UK) will lead revenue growth across Match Group’s properties in the UK market and other EU markets. Reporting into the Head of Sales, this role is responsible for developing strategic relationships with agencies and brand clients, driving new business, managing key accounts, and delivering integrated advertising and partnership solutions across Match Group’s platforms.
This position represents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced digital media sales leader to build on Match Group’s category-defining brands and bring innovative advertising opportunities to clients and agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy :
- Define and execute the UK media sales strategy in alignment with global and regional revenue goals.
- Identify and prioritize target sectors, clients, and agency groups to drive new and incremental business.
- Monitor market trends, audience insights, and competitive activity to shape product positioning and pricing strategy.
- Contribute to EMEA sales planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.
Business Development & Client Relationships :
- Build and expand relationships with top-tier agencies, trading desks, and marketing decision-makers across key industries.
- Represent Match Group’s advertising capabilities to the UK market, delivering impactful sales presentations and thought leadership.
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities through direct and programmatic channels.
- Lead negotiations of large, strategic, and long-term partnership deals.
- Oversee responses to RFPs, ensuring high-quality, insight-driven proposals
Sales Process & Operations :
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Utilize CRM systems and sales tools to maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and ad operations to ensure smooth campaign delivery, billing, and renewals.
- Partner with product, marketing, and data teams to develop compelling and measurable advertising solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with Match Group’s brand marketing, editorial, and product teams to align sales initiatives with audience engagement strategies.
- Partner with creative and insights teams to develop bespoke client opportunities and branded content activations.
- Represent Match Group at industry events, conferences, and agency presentations as a thought leader and brand ambassador.
Financial & Commercial Accountability :
- Own revenue targets, pipeline management, and client retention goals for the UK region.
- Drive profitability and efficiency across all ad sales operations.
- Track, analyze, and report key sales and performance metrics (ROI, conversion rates, client spend, renewal rates).
We could be a match if you have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–10+ years of digital media sales experience, including leadership of sales teams or key accounts.
- Strong existing relationships with senior decision-makers at major media agencies and F1000 brands.
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing six-figure+ commercial partnerships.
- Proven ability to exceed revenue targets and manage high-value pipelines.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of digital, programmatic, and mobile advertising ecosystems.
- Commercial acumen with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Data-driven mindset, with experience using CRM and forecasting tools.

- Knowledge of the UK and EMEA media landscapes and regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with subscription, and audience engagement models.
