About Tinder
Tinder connects people.
With tens of millions of users and a presence in nearly every country on Earth, our reach is expansive—and growing fast.
The Globalization team sits within Product Operations and plays a critical role in shaping how we connect with people worldwide. We enable culturally relevant, hyper-localized experiences by partnering across product, design, content, and marketing to ensure Tinder resonates across borders and languages.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and strategically minded Localization Program Manager to drive Tinder’s localization efforts across APAC.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Globalization & International Growth, this role will work closely with another Program Manager to operationalize the team’s global strategy within the region — ensuring our products, content, and campaigns are not just translated, but truly built for local relevance and impact.
You’ll serve as a regional program lead, connecting cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Design to integrate localization early in development, optimize workflows, and surface insights that inform global decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of program management, technical localization, and cultural strategy, and who can scale processes across multiple markets while staying attuned to local nuance.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive regional localization execution and strategy alignment: Own the end-to-end localization program for APAC, translating global strategy into regional priorities and scalable programs.
  • Act as a regional thought partner: Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Globalization and the broader Globalization team to shape initiatives that advance Tinder’s global readiness and user experience.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Build strong relationships with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Design, and Data to integrate localization into roadmaps and launch cycles, influencing decisions with regional insights.
  • Partner with regional Marketing leads and the VP of APAC Marketing to support Go-To-Market Asia efforts—ensuring on-time delivery of localized assets, efficient production workflows, and seamless execution of high-impact campaigns across markets.
  • Optimize localization operations: Assess and refine workflows, tools, and automation (TMS, CAT, QA automation, connectors) to enhance efficiency, transparency, and quality.
  • Support internationalization efforts: Partner with engineering to identify and address i18n issues, ensuring scalability and long-term product readiness across languages.
  • Program governance: Establish and track KPIs to measure localization performance, cost efficiency, and quality outcomes.
  • Vendor and resource management: Oversee localization vendors and freelance linguists, driving accountability, innovation, and high-quality output.
  • Mentorship and enablement: Collaborate closely with Language Managers and other Program Managers to ensure alignment, mentorship, and consistent process execution across regions.
  • Cultural intelligence: Stay ahead of cultural trends, linguistic shifts, and user behaviors across APAC markets to guide creative and product decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–6 years of experience in localization program management, international operations, or a related function within a tech, product, or global brand environment.
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-market localization programs across APAC.
  • Deep understanding of localization technology ecosystems (TMS, CAT, QA automation) and internationalization fundamentals.
  • Strong program management skills — from scoping and prioritization to stakeholder communication and risk mitigation.
  • Experience influencing product and marketing decisions through data, insights, and user empathy.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and a collaborative mindset; comfortable working across technical and creative teams.
  • Self-starter with strong ownership, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience localizing mobile apps or digital platforms, particularly in dating, social, or lifestyle categories.
  • Familiarity with Tinder’s tone, brand voice, and youth culture positioning.
  • Technical literacy in APIs, localization connectors, or automation scripting.
  • Fluency in at least one APAC language (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Hindi, etc.).
  • Experience supporting go-to-market or regional marketing campaigns across diverse APAC markets.
