We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office on Tuesday and Wednesday and work remotely the remainder of the week!
We’re looking for a People and Culture Generalist for a 15-month contract to join our lean but mighty team in Vancouver. Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Manager and working closely with our colleagues in the Match Group portfolio, this role is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with some great people.

Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and the 90-day review process to ensure a smooth and engaging employee experience.
Act as the primary contact and support in benefits administration, leave programs, and accommodations, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies. Collaborate effectively with benefit vendors, the P&C team, and Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of benefits and leave requests.
Maintain accurate employee records in Workday, collaborate with the Payroll team as needed, and continuously seek opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve the way HR information is managed.
Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers on questions related to HR policies, benefits, immigration-related support, employment letters, workplace accommodations, and more.
Support the People & Culture team with initiatives such as engagement surveys, quarterly pulse surveys, weekly company-wide communications, business reorganizations, and culture-building programs that foster a positive and inclusive workplace.
Work cross-functionally and globally with the Match Group People team and stakeholders on global People & Culture initiatives, program rollouts, and projects that support business goals and a top-tier employee experience.
You could be a match for this role if you have…
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a dynamic high-tech environment
- At least 1 year of experience administering employee benefits and providing support across immigration, leaves, and accommodations processes
- Experience and are comfortable operating in a people-first, collaborative team while embracing broader organizational relationships
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally to a high standard
- Demonstrated high level of personal initiative and proactivity in your work
- Ability to take ownership of a variety of tasks and effectively balance priorities while providing a high level of customer service to our employee population
- Been known as a critical thinker who can analyze and interpret data with proficiency using Google Sheets
- Experience working with an HRIS (preferably Workday)
- Working knowledge of BC’s Employment Standards Act
- CPHR or working towards the designation is a plus
