Japan is one of our most fascinating and one of the biggest growing markets, where Tinder has played a huge role in defining how young people meet in the modern world. We are looking for a Sr. Marketing Manager to help us grow our business and elevate our brand perception in Japan. Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Establish brand KPIs for Tinder Japan and develop integrated monthly/quarterly marketing strategies and campaigns aimed at achieving brand growth in terms of equity and user base expansion.
- Campaign Development: Design and execute innovative marketing campaigns that enhance Tinder’s brand presence through various channels including brand campaigns, partnerships, media, cultural marketing, social media, PR activations, and marketing innovations.
- Content Creation: Lead the development of compelling marketing materials, content, and messages that resonate with the target audience.
- Market Activations: Oversee and collaborate with agencies and partners on in-market activations, managing daily marketing and business operations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and team members across the globe to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in building and shaping leading consumer brands, preferably with experience in youth, culture, or digital-focused brands.
- Marketing Expertise: Proven track record across all marketing disciplines with a full-funnel consumer experience.
- Consumer Insights: Skilled in extracting and leveraging consumer insights to inform successful brand campaign strategies and executions.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Japanese consumer behavior, media landscape, social trends, and culture, especially among Gen Z.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Possess a start-up mentality, willing to take risks and explore new possibilities to drive projects and ideas.
Key Deliverables:
- Growth Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive market growth, achieve targets, and maintain brand health for Tinder in Japan.
- Marketing Efficiency: Ensure marketing efforts align with country goals and manage fiscal budgets effectively.
- Initiative Execution: Oversee the execution of various marketing initiatives including localized CRM, PR, growth, brand, performance, and influencer marketing.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with other cross-functional teams within Tinder (product/engineering, other regions, and other Match Group brands) to align on marketing strategies.
- Consumer Insights: Provide a clear understanding of local consumer insights, product usage, cultural nuances, and user behavior.
