About the Role
As Hinge’s VP of HR, you will be a key driver in achieving our vision to be the most fulfilling place to work in Tech. This role is a strategic thought partner to the Chief People Officer and senior business leaders at Hinge. In partnership with the broader People Leadership team, you will help set the strategy for the team and support the development of their respective priorities and roadmaps.
You will leverage your deep expertise in HR to design, implement, and execute initiatives that enhance the organization's performance, culture, and employee experience during times of stability and change. Leading a high-performing business facing HR team to deliver comprehensive HR services including, talent acquisition and planning, organizational change management, performance management, employee relations and employee/leadership development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Hinge’s talent acquisition and planning strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives and growth projections.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify current and future talent needs, and design strategies to attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent.
  • Provide expert guidance and support in employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
  • Lead and manage organizational changes, ensuring effective change management strategies, communication plans, and employee engagement during periods of transition.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of psychological safety, and community with equitable outcomes
  • Partner with the Organizational Effectiveness team in the design and delivery of training and development programs to enhance employees' capabilities, fulfillment, and career progression.
  • Lead and manage all talent management activities with the business, including performance management, succession planning, career development, high-potential identification, etc.
  • Offer executive coaching and deliver leadership development programs to people managers, enhancing their leadership skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the execution and monitor the impact of compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitor HR metrics and analytics to make data-driven decisions, identify trends, and continuously improve HR practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, considering various state, country or region specific requirements (e.g. EMEA/GDPR, EEO, FLSA, works council negotiations, etc.)
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing expert HR guidance and recommendations to drive organizational success.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee fulfillment and business success.
  • Proactive collaboration with parent company and sibling brands for SME alignment (Legal, Total Rewards & Compensation, Real Estate & Facilities, etc.), as well as the identification of portfolio-wide tooling, trends and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including expertise in talent acquisition and workforce planning, employee relations, executive coaching, organizational change management, and talent management.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Global employee relations skills navigating local, regional and country nuances.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing HR team.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze HR metrics and make strategic decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving business environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field or an HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
