A Business Development Manager (BDMs) is a dynamic and essential part of our growth strategy and is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads and opportunities. As the first point of contact, BDMs introduce our innovative products and services to potential customers, sparking interest and excitement. They nurture these leads into valuable relationships, driving our success and helping shape the future of our company!

About the Role

  • Proactively identifies and generates new leads through research, outreach, and engagement.
  • Qualify leads by asking insightful questions and gathering relevant information.
  • Optimizes for converting buyers and sellers to transact within 2 months of the introductory call, depending on the size of the lead.
  • Help facilitate and guide handoffs with all requisite information with follow-ups for AMs/BPs to maximize the probability of conversion.
  • Work closely with the sales team to seamlessly transition qualified leads.
  • Collaborate effectively and create a smooth handover while maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Gather market feedback to help improve our platform.
  • Properly document lead interactions, maintain accurate records, and effectively.

About You

  • 5-10 years of experience in Business development and/or outside sales role.
  • Ability to cultivate and onboard new and existing relationships of buyers or sellers onto Ghost.
  • Experience working in wholesale sales at a brand or buying experience at a retailer.
  • Skilled in articulating value propositions, addressing customer inquiries, and building rapport in initial conversations.
  • Adept at targeting audiences and identifying potential customers with a high likelihood of converting.
  • Self-directed, collaborating with team members to move the ball forward without constant oversight.
  • Committed to operational excellence, known for high-velocity execution, and capable of balancing long-term business goals with short-term needs.
  • Willingness to travel and an understanding of the importance of face-to-face relationships with customers.

In addition to a competitive base salary, equity, and a range of benefits, we offer a dynamic work environment that fosters growth and collaboration. Our total compensation for this position can range from $65,000 to $100,000+ (this includes base and bonus or commission structure). The actual amounts may vary based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the position.
