We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Finance to join our rapidly growing startup. This pivotal role will not only steward our financial strategy and operations but also guide us through the critical phases of fundraising, financial planning, and scaling our transactional business. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in financial leadership within the startup ecosystem, developing strong risk frameworks, establishing robust financial processes, and managing credit facilities. As a key member of our executive team, you'll play a vital role in shaping our financial future, ensuring we have the resources and strategies in place to achieve our ambitious goals. Your strategic vision, combined with your hands-on approach to financial management, will be crucial as we seek to innovate, expand, and solidify our presence in the market.

About the Role

  • Work cross functionally to enhance the financial and business acumen for all leaders; become a trusted partner to achieve targets, provide financial insight, and support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Lead quarterly / annual strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to improve overall company performance.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to manage the company’s credit risk and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Oversee audits and work closely with external auditors.

About You

  • Minimum of 9+ years of relevant financial experience, including direct experience at a growth stage startup with diverse, heavily matrixed, and multinational customers
  • Background in developing procedures and policies for customer underwriting and risk management
  • Capital markets experience managing credit facilities and multiple debt partners.
  • Deep experience managing financial planning and analysis initiatives.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing data rooms and closing fundraising rounds.
  • Experience leading lending initiatives within an organization and helped build financial operations from the ground up.
  • Background building and forming new team structures.

What you will love:

  • We believe if we aren’t first, we’re last! We need to be the best at what we do. We must set the highest standards in our winner-take-all market. We fight for every dollar and never settle. We are all owners, hustlers, and streetfighters - working together to achieve a unified goal.
  • Anything we can do tomorrow, we can do today. We drive a culture of high velocity, leaving no room for analysis paralysis. We promote efficiency and progress in every step we take. If it will help the business, just do it. It’s better to get a speeding ticket than a parking ticket.
  • We are a customer-obsessed company and believe in making it magical: Our members are at the center of our universe. We continuously strive to create experiences that are 10x better at every touchpoint. We anticipate their needs and go above and beyond, delivering experiences that surpass expectations.
  • We believe in working as a team to provide solutions, not problems. We are committed to reaching our goals, no matter the challenges. We tackle projects as a team, with a "jump in with both feet" mentality. Every roadblock is an opportunity for innovation. No task is too big or too small, and we take on challenges beyond our core responsibilities, spreading optimism and confidence.
  • We embrace radical candor. We embrace difficult questions and uncomfortable answers. Our decisions are grounded in data and facts, leading to meaningful and sustainable outcomes. We value giving and receiving open, honest feedback. We critique ideas, not individuals. We embrace radical transparency and rigorous thinking, avoiding decisions driven by ego or self-interest.

Benefits we offer:

  • Competitive compensation and equity structure
  • 401K
