About Evertune AI:
Evertune is building the first AI discovery platform for modern marketers. As large language models (LLMs) become the go-to source for recommendations – we help brands understand exactly what AI is saying about them, where they stand against competitors, and how to show up more often in AI-powered answers. Our platform turns black-box AI behavior into actionable insights, so marketing teams can make faster, smarter decisions that drive growth.
Founded by leaders who helped scale The Trade Desk into the world’s leading ad tech platform, we bring deep expertise in digital advertising, data, and high-growth environments. Now, we’re pioneering a new category at the intersection of AI, SEO, and brand strategy.
Backed by top-tier VC investors and trusted by forward-thinking brands, we move fast, think boldly, and believe the best ideas win – regardless of title. If you're excited about shaping the future of how brands grow in the age of AI, you’ll thrive here.
Your Team:
You’ll be joining Evertune’s software engineering team – small, focused, and deeply collaborative. We’re currently a distributed group of ~10 engineers working across Seattle and New York, with a few contractors supporting specialized projects. While we span time zones, we operate with tight alignment and shared urgency. Our engineers ship fast, sweat the details, and genuinely enjoy building together.
Your Role:
As Evertune’s first QA hire, you’ll be the architect of our quality foundation – designing processes, running critical tests, and helping us ship faster without breaking things. You’ll work across the stack – testing both UI and infra/backend functionality – to ensure our web application is rock solid, secure, and user-friendly.
We’re not looking for a traditional gatekeeper. You won’t be the final stop before code goes live – instead, you’ll build a culture of quality by enabling engineers to own more of their testing while still jumping in where needed. From manual exploratory testing to designing and implementing automation suites, you’ll lead the charge in making “works as expected” the default.
This is a high-impact role for someone who loves breaking things in order to build better things – and wants the freedom to shape QA from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
Own the QA roadmap – defining the overall strategy, standards, and approach for both manual and automated testing across the product lifecycle
Conduct deep functional and regression testing across the product’s UI and backend APIs, identifying edge cases, validating logic, and uncovering issues before they reach production
Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks that cover critical user journeys and backend services – accelerating release cycles while reducing manual QA overhead
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design to catch issues early and release with confidence
Define and continuously improve our QA processes, including bug triage, test planning, and release validation
Set up scalable test infrastructure and CI/CD test pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
Promote a culture of quality and testing ownership across engineering teams
Track and communicate release readiness and product quality metrics
Lead early-stage testing yourself, with an eye toward growing a QA function over time
Requirements
5+ years of QA experience, including both manual and automated testing for complex web applications
Experience testing across frontend and backend systems
Hands-on experience writing test automation (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Pytest, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern dev workflows (bonus if you’ve worked with GitHub Actions)
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, bug reporting, and test planning
Comfortable working cross-functionally and proactively with engineers and PMs
Ability to set priorities, communicate clearly, and move fast without sacrificing quality
Experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with LLMs and their APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), including QA strategies for prompt-driven systems and probabilistic outputs
Comfort working with AI coding agents and a clear understanding of the risks, limitations, and safeguards needed to maintain code quality and control when using these tools
Prior experience testing analytics platforms, SEO tools, or marketing technology products
Exposure to testing distributed architectures, including service-to-service communication, API contracts, and eventual consistency scenarios
Tech Stack:
Vue, Javascript, Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, REST APIs, Google Cloud, GitHub, Chrome, Safari.
