About the job

About Brace Health

Brace Health is on a mission to ensure every patient gets covered for the care they need and every doctor gets paid for the work they do.

Independent healthcare practices deliver better outcomes, more personalized care, and lower costs to patients, but they're disappearing, squeezed by payers and buried in administrative complexity. We're building vertically integrated technology systems that automate healthcare payments end-to-end, so the practices that serve their communities best can survive and thrive.

We're one of the fastest growing companies in healthcare, now serving thousands of patients and processing millions of dollars of claims. We’ve raised a seed round from Bessemer Venture Partners (Anthropic, Shopify, Twilio) and top seed investors. This is an opportunity to join an exceptional founding team in an early role with a major equity stake.

The Role

We’re looking for an exceptional generalist to build the AI operating system that scales our company to millions of patient lives.

You'll work directly alongside the co-founders to architect the AI systems and agents that power our go-to-market and customer operations. Your workflows will support a team of billing experts managing millions of dollars in patient care, and will be the foundation of our customer acquisition engine. This is not a role where you hand off a strategy deck and watch someone else build. This is a technical operator role. You design it, build it, run it, and improve it.

The work has real stakes. Clinics stay open because their billing runs cleanly. Clinicians get paid because claims move fast. Patients get care because the back-office doesn't break down. That's what this role protects and scales.

We're early enough that the systems you build will be foundational, not incremental. You'll have direct access to the co-founders, a front-row seat to building a venture-backed healthcare AI company from the ground up, and real ownership over a function that touches every part of the business.

This role is based in Boston, MA (or relocation required).

What You'll Do

Build and run our AI systems and agent infrastructure. Design and maintain the AI workflows that power our operations: agentic organization management, claim status agents, outreach sequences, prospect research pipelines, customer health monitoring, and internal tooling that makes our billing team dramatically more effective. Work closely with engineering to spec and ship product features, and sometimes (often times?) build it yourself.

Own the go-to-market engine. Build and operate the systems behind our sales motion: prospecting infrastructure, enrichment pipelines, outbound sequencing, CRM architecture, and the data flows that make our pipeline visible and actionable. When we want to move on a new ICP segment or distribution channel, you build the machinery that makes it repeatable.

Instrument our customer and billing operations. Own the dashboards, KPI tracking, escalation workflows, and automated loops that catch problems before they become client fires. Maintain the operational cadence that gives the co-founders and billing team a real-time view of what's working and what isn't.

Lead high-priority strategic projects. Take on cross-functional work as the business evolves - partner integrations, new market analysis, pricing experiments, onboarding redesigns. You're the person who parachutes into whatever matters most and figures it out.

What You'll Bring

You've probably been described as "technical for a business person" or "business-minded for an engineer." You get energy from building things, not just recommending them. You're comfortable writing a prompt chain, pulling a SQL query, and leading a critical ops meeting in the same afternoon.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a role that touched product, ops, GTM, or some combination at a startup, consulting firm, or high-growth tech company

  • STEM degree or demonstrated technical ability

  • Trending technical: You’ve written code or have coauthored some with Codex/Claude/Gemini/etc on small side projects. You’re excited to get more hands-on experience with AI tools, automation platforms, and data.

  • Boston. Already based in Boston or willing to relocate

What we look for

  • High IQ and EQ - high intellectual horsepower with great understanding of people

  • High agency - you see what needs to happen and make it happen; you don't wait to be unblocked

  • Curiosity - you need to understand how things work, desire to become more technical

  • High ownership - you care deeply about the quality and impact of what you deliver

  • Good judgment - you know what you know and what you don't; you make sound tradeoffs

  • Clear communicator - can explain complex topics simply and have leadership potential
