We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with experience building cross-border payment systems who is eager to join on the ground floor of the stablecoin revolution. This role requires a unique blend of technical leadership, strategic problem-solving, and hands-on development. You will be instrumental in defining Beam’s engineering culture, scaling our infrastructure, and integrating cutting-edge technologies to revolutionize global payments.

You will:

• Contribute to the architecture, development, and maintenance of Beam’s core payments platform
• Build scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant services for global money movement.
• Collaborate with sales, compliance, and other engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong documentation.
• Review code, provide feedback, and help maintain high engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.

You’re a fit if you:

• Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or other high-transaction systems.
• Are proficient in TypeScript, React, Node.js, Nest.js, PostgreSQL (Prisma), and AWS.
• Understand payment flows, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Take ownership, communicate clearly, and can deliver in fast-paced environments.
• Enjoy solving complex technical problems that have real-world impact.

Extensive experience with event resiliency is a major plus.
