ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who loves solving complex problems. You will be responsible for managing our cloud-based infrastructure to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our applications and services. You will work within the Engineering team to build and optimize our CI/CD pipelines, improve our performances, optimize our spend, and proactively monitor the environment to ensure seamless operation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on our growing organization and to contribute to the success of our cutting-edge products.
Our headquarters is in Los Angeles, California, and we have an office in New York City. This role will be in office.
In this role, you will:
- Understand our product requirements, current architecture, and performance goals, and translate them into scalable infrastructure solutions within the AWS ecosystem.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, availability, and security, utilizing monitoring tools to proactively identify and address issues.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management, to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Help troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and fine-tune infrastructure components.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and AWS services, and recommend relevant improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical infrastructure incidents outside of regular business hours.
ABOUT YOU
- 2+ years as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS services and infrastructure management.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in shell scripting languages such as Bash. Bonus point for coding experience on Ruby on Rails or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of networking, security practices, and data protection within cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative team environments.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $170,000. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors including experience, skillset, location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable. We are actively hiring for this role in California and New York and offer competitive local pay and benefits.
